At Pocketpair, we keep our guidelines simple and as open as possible because we genuinely love seeing your content. We want you to feel free to create, share, and even monetize your work. When we mention the “secondary use” of your content, we mean that we might occasionally showcase your amazing clips or screenshots on our official X (Twitter), Discord, or Steam pages. As for our “Restricted Activities”—these are mostly in place as a safeguard against extreme cases, such as using our games to promote hate speech or offensive content. Beyond those rare exceptions, we want you to play, record, and share to your heart’s content!
Pocketpair, Inc. has established these guidelines regarding the streaming and video distribution of our games. For information regarding fan art, merchandise, or other derivative works, please refer to our separate Guidelines for Derivative Works.
Guidelines for Gameplay Streaming and Video Content
- You are free to stream and post videos of our games without prior notice, provided that your content does not fall under our Restricted Activities. This applies to everyone—whether you are an individual, part of a corporation, or a pro-streamer—and regardless of whether your content is monetized.
- Please note that by posting content featuring our games, you agree that Pocketpair may use your footage or images for marketing and promotional purposes.
Restricted Activities
To ensure a safe and positive community, we ask that you refrain from the following:
- Attacks or Defamation: Content that attacks, slanders, or defames individuals, companies, or specific groups.
- Political or Religious Promotion: Using our games to promote specific political agendas, religious beliefs, or extremist ideologies.
- Offensive Content: Expressions that violate public order, decency, or are otherwise socially unacceptable.
- Infringement of Rights: Content that violates intellectual property rights (including copyrights and trademarks), privacy, or the reputation and credit of Pocketpair or any third party.
- Misleading Representation: Content that could be falsely perceived as an official communication or announcement from Pocketpair.
- General Misconduct: Any other content or behavior that we deem inappropriate or harmful at our discretion.
